Pathways

Pathways exist for coaches - from mini/mod football, international grades to senior club coaching positions including regional representative teams.

Please note that all coaches must complete a LeagueSmart course online. (All information will be delivered after you register for any of the courses below).

Mini-Mod Coaching Course (6-12 years old)

This course is for anyone that is interested in coaching mini/mod Rugby League.

Online and theory delivery include:

• Fundamentals
• Refereeing
• Core skills

Practical components include:

• How to coach a skill
• Core skills breakdown, including TGFU
• Skill drills & games
• Q&A

Developing Coach Course (13-18 years old)​​​​​​​

This course is for anyone interested coaching Rugby League from 13-18 years of age. 

Online & Theory modules:

• Coaching methods
• Developing a game book
• Planning
• Communication

Practical components include:

• How to coach a skill
• Core Skills
• Skill drills & games
• Q&A

Other coach workshops include:

• Be A Sport  (development of positive behaviours)
• Good Sports (development vs performance coaching styles)
• Safe Play Code.
